What about a d'uccle? They are so friendly I had the sweetest little roo. Sadly he passed away, but he was wonderful.

Either way, don't over-handle your boys. The less they are afraid of you, the more likely they are to challenge you. My boys are just used to my presence. They do not approach me (I wouldn't want them to), but I can easily handle them if needed. Lots of these roosters that are attacking have been coddled as chicks, and show no fear towards humans.

I have a silkie rooster who is the sweetest thing you could ever meet. He is nicer than my silkie hens. When I feed him out of hand, he is so gentle. The girls are rough.
