Goose Almost swallowed syringe

I was giving her calcium gluconate and she sucked the syringe down into her throat almost the whole thing there was still enough for me to grab and I was able to get it out but warning Geese can do that

What size of syringe are you using?

I have that problem with 6ml syringes and smaller.
12 ml syringes are easier to use with geese from my own experience, they can’t swallow them as easily and they are easier to manouver further down the throat.

3 ml syringe . I use the 1ml for ducks. I’ll have to get bigger ones asap Ty
