GOOD! I dont want someone walking off with my babies. We have horse theives here i dont want goose theives.
I turned my duckings loose yesterday to start free ranging during the day. They will be 2 months old July 4th and my two geese that has the babies ADOPTED them too. LoL they now have 16 babies following them around. Its great how some geese are such loving parents. Some humans need to take lessons from geese.
Yes they sure do. I bet that is such a nice scene watching all of them enjoying themselves so much.

Here's my newest buff girl with a pair of week-old Muscovy ducklings I bought yesterday to keep her company. Unless Slate hatches her pair of eggs she has been sitting on for 3 weeks, this is my last dewlap baby of 2013.

Since most of our friends watch this thread.

Update: As you all might have heard Jerry Ford got to come home yesterday. Currently he is recovering from pericardial window heart surgery, also had fluid drained from one lung. Our next battle is stage 4 Lung cancer. He is resting and excepting good thoughts and prayers. Please remember that he may not respond to things but he will read as he feels like it.

So today I took on a new baby goose (8-9 weeks old) that was hatched with a hurt leg (now healed) and was babied by his previous people, who are moving to the city and can't take him with them. The problem is that this new goose is used to being inside, jumping up on the couch and sleeping on the bed. He/she is not, however, potty trained.

So I'm trying to find some options for keeping house and a house goose at the same time. I think that tonight he/she will be sleeping with his/her blanket in the bathtub. But that's not a great long term solution. Fortunately, our carpet is scheduled to be torn out this summer, anyway. Does anyone have a diaper pattern or any suggestions as to how to minimize the mess or potty train the bird?

I'll vent sex it in the next couple of days, but I didn't want that much trauma in the same day as the relocation and abandonment by familiar people.
