I talked to the seller afterward, who was also disappointed, and he said he would talk to breeder this evening to find out how she was supposedly confirmed in foal. I seriously doubt I would breed her though.

Lightning, how are things with your ganders? Are they awesome?

Atticus and Finch are doing great! When my Golden Retriever first saw them he was barking at them, and they got back to back, spread their wings, and hissed like crazy. It was an awesome sight! Atticus calmed down and ignored him after that, but Finch kept hissing at him. I think they will all calm down in a day or two. They were able to get into their pool just fine with no step, and spent quite a bit of time in there today. They were really thirsty, but didn't seem to eat very much.

Lightning, I am very happy to hear they are doing well!!!! It's funny that they think they are tough when confronting dogs. They liked to hang at fence line telling my dogs how tough they were. Lucky for them, my dogs enjoy their role guarding them and tolerate their behavior.

Survived yesterdays events of wrapping up items for hubbies retirement! Easy sailing now until the end of the year when he is "official". Friday will be his last active duty day to report. We might be hit and miss as Hurricane Sandy creeps past the coast line. We have had major winds already for almost 2 days and rain for the last 36 hours on and off. Will be glad to see it get past us so we can open the windows on the house again hopefully.

Glad you made it through yesterday. I wasn't sure if I was going to survive yesterday either.

Woke up today to more snow than yesterday... ugh. One more day of this crap, then hopefully we can return to fall weather.

morning Iain!

You OK? Sorry about the snow. We're expecting 30 tonight and tomarrow. Yesterday it got to 87. Fall is so fickle, isn't it? Oh, what do your geese think of the snow? Its new to some of them, I'd think.

yeah uumm I dont do snow....... it can just stay where it is. Although these grey depression inducing skies can go away too. Be sure to let me know if we need to order just 1 more box or more than 1 so I can have them shipped next week.

Marty, NOOOOOOO we are just miles away from the Tropic of cancer here. We get cold for about a week maybe 2, but never longer than that. Although my idea of cold is different than others. 60 is chilly and 50 is cold and fireplace weather for me.

Oh and the egg the dewlaps had, they pulled through the gate opening where a khaki had made a nest. Glad they are resourceful and found it to be a fun toy the silly geese. Knew it wasnt from them (too small) but the ducks werent in there so couldnt figure out where it came from.
