Got a new Seabright girl, boy can she fly

I clipped the wings on mine, so they only fly about 8 feet high for a distance of about 20 feet. LOL ... Just FYI.

They have a game type build, slight and light... so they can really get some lift. To reduce it, clip both wings, but do one shorter than the other... reduces lift ability, and throws them off balance. Mine do circles because of this, instead of straight lines.

Mine seem to fly for fun, it's the first thing they do when I let them out for free range time. I just made it so they couldn't get over the yard fence, don't care if they buzz around the yard for the joy of it.

I saw some Seabright pullets at the last poultry swap. So pretty!
I was very proud of myself when I resisted them - I knew that because of their size they would be good flyers.

About 10 minutes later I saw something whiz past my head. One of the Seabrights had escaped and was flying all over the parking lot.
