Got a rooster, but are the eggs fertile?

Hello there, just wondering if the Sebright rooster fertility problem is true or just a myth because at home we had a Sebright rooster(but i gave him to my friend) among a sebright hen and a dutch bantam mix.

He mated with both of them and both laid 4 eggs each that the dutch bantam mix is currently sitting on 4 18 days now. i know i should candle the eggs but i am old fasioned and like suprizes! besides i dont have a candler and i do not want to disturb the eggs on the vital days

is the sebright fertility problem a myth or is it a fact?

At this late stage, I would probably leave them alone, but if you ever get another roo, and want to know if he's performing his duties, check out this thread.

At this stage...18 days and counting. I wouldn't even mess with them. I wouldn't want to take the chance of them exploding on me if they happen to not be fertile or expired. It has happened!!! Talk about one disgusting smelly mess.
