Got our ducklings!

By color is easier because males are a much duller brown and have a green head. This is visible very early in their lives. You can also tell if the drake/duck is male when his voice is very raspy and the ducks will have a very definate "quack". :)

I'm hoping I have two females.. no sign of green plumage and they're about 4 weeks old..

13 weeks today. We had monster storms in central TX yesterday - they went nuts running from puddle to puddle; eating and splashing.

2 of them have dark beaks, the other 3 have lite green/gray beaks. We have 'wild' rabbits that live in the neighborhood, twice a bunny has stopped by for a staredown contest. I'm going to pull an old decoy this weekend and set it in their pool, curious to see their reaction.

We've been busy, plus the wife & I joined the 21st Century & bought an iphone 5c. I can text my granddaughter pics of the dux, take video's and fling angry birds but I can't get photos to post today.

The two older grandaughters can put up or let out & the dux like to stand and watch the kids play for a while. Then they'll either get involved or wander off.

Pics when I can

Take care, jebber, of yourself and your ducks!!!!

I use the picture icon and click the upload files button. But I don't know if I have ever successfully done it from a phone.

May all go well with you all.
