That's why I wrote all that. It's an easy assumption to think the vaccine causes the virus. It doesn't. If you don't vaccinate, you risk losing everything. We need a better vaccine.

Yep! A better vaccine... ideally a "perfect" one. The fact is that most hatcheries are still mostly using the first MDV-3 derived vaccine*, developed decades ago. It's not at all surprising that the virus is challenging it, given the perfect conditions it has to do so in commercial poultry operations!

*Consequently this is the only one available to layperson/average keepers, as well, the last time I checked.

Nothing bugs me more eating out than having a rocking table. I always ask to change tables. I should carry shims!
