I compost all my chicken poop & dress all my gardens with it in the following spring before we till. Really builds good soil.

I know you wouldn't hun, just wish I could. I have to keep mine super clean or I can't be in mine. Not only am I allergic to the eggs, but the feathers too.Good planning on the sloped floor. I'm not certain even with a mask on if I could scrape it out.
I wouldnt ask you to hun.

Quote: I don't know how you will either Pam. I looked at my coops today wondering the same thing. What would I do if I got mite, not certain how I would treat all the roughsawn wood I have in them.
Flea home and yard spray for walls and roosts. Let it dry before the chickens come back in. You shouldn't need it for the northern fowl mites. Ivermectin treatments 10 days apart should do the trick.

Mine needs the same, lots of fine dust because I use contractors sand & a PDZ mix on all my coop floors. Really shows where the cobwebs are lol.Its not the mites so much as the build up on the floor and cobwebs hanging from the rafters . I wonder if it would do any good to spray or dust if it cant penetrate the floor wood. It just needs a good ol fashion scrub down.Flea home and yard spray for walls and roosts.
