Granny's gone and done it again

That would work too. But i would still have to lash pieces together. I would have to get something with smaller spaces between wire. What i have is garden fencing. Don't know if that would keep the varmints out. But i do plan on using hot wire around the fence around the coop, tractor and hutch.

The shade is halfway over to the garden. I guess pretty soon i can go out there and pull weeds. Looks like the biggest chance of rain will be later tonight. Still groggy from those pills. An ant just came and bit me while i was sitting on the sofa! The nerve of some bugs. Now i Need one of those horned toad lizards that eat ants. We used to call our house in FL the Ant house, since there were always ants and so many kinds of them. This is called the Bee house, or Treetops. Lots of all sorts of bees around here.
At least i can sit while weeding because i am so sleepy, don't want to expend a lot of energy. Plus it is fenced so the dog can't get in there to throw her stick at me. Maybe i will just wear pjs so if i fall over off my seat onto the grass i can just fall asleep.

Felis domesticus. Quite common. Breed like guppies! People refuse to eat them.
 There are a few countries where people eat them!

Wishing, waverly would be good. I could call her wave. Good name for a water dog
:thumbsup You know the daughter in the book was named for a street in San Francisco. It's the heart of Chinatown.

Thanks! I have lots of fun stories to tell now, and pics and vids for those who didn't see them on Facebook.
Been wondering what happened to you! Glad it was something fun. I will be waiting for your updates. :)

NEWS FLASH! The real smiley face is back. :)

Some folks have to eat whatever they can get. Even rats. I mean north American people. I would eat one if i got hungry enough. We are lucky to have a pretty steady food supply. Ever had frogs legs? I like to try different things to some degree.

The weeds will be there tomorrow. Sounds like a nap would be better use of your time. Well, at least more enjoyable!
Google borax ant bait (or boric acid ant bait). Cheap and easy to make and they take it back and kills the whole nest.

That's for sure. I am still shocked that you can't eat horse meat in the US. Gov't took away the funding for inspections, and it's illegal to sell, serve, or distribute meat that has not been inspected. Not that I want to eat horse, but I don't see it as much different than eating a pig or a cow or adorable little lamby, or pet chickens even! Pet yaks? Not sure why horses get special consideration.
When I made the original comment, I was thinking of a restaurant a friend of mine went to in southern China. When you walk in, there are banks of cages covering the walls, filled with all sorts of critters, from reptiles, to birds, to mammals, including cats, and yes, dogs. Freshness is the utmost, so you choose your meal, and it will be cooked up for you. She was with her local relatives, and they considerately chose fish from one of the many aquarium tanks, but she said said it was quite strange to look around the restaurant and wonder what everyone else was eating.

I just laid 2x4 welded wire across the top, lapping it where needed, and laid a tarp over the whole thing. I anchored the tarp all around, which holds the welded wire in place without lashing pieces together. It's all been in use for about 3 years without a problem; well, almost. Because the tarp isn't drawn taut, puddles formed....large ones....with a lot of rain. Solved that problem with a couple of "T poles" (7'-8' round fence posts, with scrap plywood screwed to the top, set on the floor of the run). The poles are longer than the sides of the run are high, so all the water runs off.
