I paid $3.00 a lb. !

Our tomatoes sales last summer paid the chickens keep for the year. Not going to happen this year. Unless we get a huge shift in the weather I will be lucky to get the tomatoes I need.

And they don't taste like anything. Wish you felt good enough to do it too. I've got one qrt left from last year. I have gotten 35 pints of salsa made. 15 of those are hubs & they are way too hot for me. The batch I just did day before yesterday I got 22 pints. Still a little hotter than I like. Must be my jalapeño peppers were hotter this year. Plants are huge, they are in the green house.

ok, I give up. LOL What do you do with salsa ? I know people dip chips in it but thats a lot of chips.

I use mine for adding to soups to jazz up the flavor. Like with chili & I make a Southwestern chicken & black bean soup that I put a jar of salsa in. I make lots of soup.

so you use it like tomatoes. I dont like the hot.
