That's why I got rid of my Silkies, they were broody all the time & no matter how many stints in the Pokey (broody buster cage) they still wouldn't break. Loved their personalities, just wasn't feasible for me.I had hens hatching out hatch after hatch. Plus one crazy hen that wouldn't break till she hatched which is the one under the goat house :/I had broody Silkies that hatched successfully all winter last year. Plus 4 incubators running back to back hatches from the first week of Feb. up to the last week of May. It was a bit crazy for a bit lol.
