Granny's gone and done it again

Or some chickens!
LOL!

Don't sell yourself short.
Keep your eyes open for a second-hand incubator, set it up & make sure it's working right, set half a dozen of your own eggs, and get your feet wet. All the books in the world won't beat experience. Get stuck?...ask for help, and think like a broody hen.
True wisdom there!

My "horse chickens" have a rooster...all are eating the same layer pellets...never had a problem with "him" only eating that

The damage is internal and is not something you really recognize as what it is without a necropsy when the bird dies -- what is found is evidence of various internal issues caused by the diet that have caused the life to shorten fairly considerably to what it could have been on a more appropriate diet.

I call any of them that give me trouble a male.

Have you ever been so tired and hungry that you fix your self something to eat and as your eating you find a hair or fuzz in it thats not yours and you just pull it out and finish your food ?

Have I mentioned my time in a vet clinic? Lunches were fast and often times eaten while looking through a microscope. I don't even think twice if it's animal. Human on the other hand

Wow - nothing like working a full-time job to give one a renewed appreciation for the days of the week, specifically the one coming tomorrow! LOVING the new job, just taking some getting used to being on a new schedule....looking forward to the weekend, though, as we're supposed to be dry Sunday and Monday so

that between DH and I working Sunday and DH/FIL working Monday we just might end up with a functional coop in time to pick up chicks next weekend.
