I got a silkie because of the rugrats begging me... Surprisingly, he has all his brains about him and is a fantastic flock protector.

They're just plain too small... Nothing is gonna help. I'd still have to bring them in multiple times thru winter like I do with the OEGB. They can't handle much more than twenty below.get some like mine, the silkie really makes them hardy.
