I assumed it was a regional accent. Hubs has other Canadian relatives in the west... no detectable accent, except for aunty, who sounds very Chinese!

I told them price was firm & that was that. I said that most people charge at least $15 for them. I think $25 would be more apropos.

wow. Is feed cheap? 10 month pullet here is $20 for common breeds.
