Granny's gone and done it again

Okay, osteoarthritis and regular arthritis? Hmmmmm. Osteopenia, I have also, but osteopenia isn't an arthritis but bone loss due to arthritis. Think of a Swiss cheese with a LOT of holes. That is Osteopenia.

Regular arthritis has me stumped. Regular arthritis usually refers to Osteo unless it Rheumatoid or Gout based.
I have NO idea. This is what I was told.

There are more than 100 different kinds of arthritis and related conditions. Arthritis affects more than 50 million adults and 300,000 children in America, according to the Arthritis Foundation. The causes and treatment options available vary from one type of arthritis to another.

Yeeks! I have been told I have "a little arthritis" in my left shoulder, but not what kind. See a neurologist or neurosurgeon Jan. 8 about my neck and expect to be told I have "a little arthritis" there, too, affecting my arms, shoulders and hands. Thanks for this discussion. I will try to pin him down on exactly what kind I have.

Blue, I sure hope they can help you. I suspect that will the next specialist I see some time in the future. I am not looking forward to that day when it comes.

I used to think that the lower back pain that I have is the worst...then my neck went bad. :hit
Granny, I wore my hair long for decades. I finally had to cut it two years ago this Feb. At that time it was knee length. I couldn't take care of it any more bc of my shoulders. The day I cut it, I could hear and feel my neck cracking and popping. People used to ask me if my hair gave me headaches and it never did. But I wonder now if the weight affected my neck.
