Definitely not Wyandottes. I recommend Welsummers. In my egg photo, they are the dark brown layers, I personally prefer dark brown eggs with speckles.

I am on the edge of the rain/freezing rain line. Sounds like it is just raining, but it is 32 here so we are right at freezing
Marans, Barnevelders or Welsumers for dark eggs. Wyandottes eggs are not dark.
I'm still getting occasional light flurries and 18 degrees.

Not that we have seen it here as of yet, but never know when it will happen. This storm is supposed to last another 16 1/2 hours. If I still have power I will be amazed.

Yes, it was freezing rain all yesterday afternoon. Streets were pretty bad. Then we go about 3 inches of snow overnight. It's not gonna get above freezing until Saturday noon so it's gonna stick around.

we are orange level what ever that means. I THINK its necessary travel only. I have seen 2 cars go by today.
