can't justify raising cattle on only 40 acres. You can keep 3 yaks on the same amount of land as a single beef/dairy cow. Bison the fencing is problematic, and they have NOT been domesticated long enough. Yaks have been domesticated for 1,000's of years. Also, I don't like bison meat.

Well! Guess I've been told! All excellent reasons!

pasture as much as possible. NO grain fed at all.
