Off to the eye dr. I was up at 4 a.m. also. Got up and cooked a pot of navy beans which I had previously soaked. Later added seasonings and put in oven to make baked beans, which I've never done before. No bacon of course so I added some Liquid Smoke instead. They finished just a few minutes ago. Very good but next time I will half the brown sugar. Will serve tonight with turkey hot dogs and homemade mac n cheese.

Right now we are under a sunny sky at 73°. Working on cutting the wire components for the new 8x8 walk-in coop with a Fort Knox run. Building coops for a boy and 8-9 girls. Runs will have a lot of rain proof topping so they can be out of the coop in a dirt bath even if raining. Moving slow. Sciatica seems to be 90% better but lower back is a pain that a pill won't reach if I lift or bend. :barnie Using Linocane(sp) on it. Tonight maybe the tense unit again. Ma's making a very good Mexican type of meal for lunch while I keep cutting pieces of wire for the coop that goes on top of the panels. I'm using an under tarp like a primer that the heavy duty silver top will be the top layer. Taking our time and getting it all right this time. This is the 10th coop so we should have this one done right. We will replace the top tarp every early summer but that is more economical by far than using metal roofing. I'd rather spend the money one high end breeding stock. I think we may be able to take high end hatching eggs to a livestock auction a couple of farming towns over. It's worth a try. We already sell them local. I'm going to send a dozen to a daughter up in TN and have her send them back and then put them in an incubator to hatch as a test for shipping and hatch ability.:idunno
