Granny you should return to balance! You should ask yourself whay you rase them, if it is for the eggs you don't need to many!
Don't let this wonderful hobby to cost you in health and money! When it becomes a burden it is not a hobby any more! Eat, sell and give all the extras
And focus on your health!

Indianas thread on BYC has one member on here that lives about 45 min. to an hr. from me. This all sounds like weak excuses to me so please correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like a waste of time ?

Benny, there is a swap in Ky. just across the river here mothers day weekend that I love. I had this in the back of my mind when I bought the chicks. To set up and spend the day there and hae plenty to sell. Th laws have changed to bring them across state. I would need blood work on each chick @ $1. per and wing or leg banded with my info on it. NPIP dont matter. Here In. I will need paper work with every chick. buyer and seller info and a copy for myself and buyer.

I was noticing that poking around on the IN craigslist. Closest to you seemed to be in KY, and that's a no go. Easy to put an ad on craigslist, but you do need an email.

Are you saying you need papers to sell IN birds in IN? What about the swap at the TSC parking lot? Still a plan?

I know! Have some chicks for sale at the tattoo shop! Maybe outside, since there's probably hygiene concerns. Someone might take them.

Is there a feed store or pet store that might take them to sell? Hard to believe no one in your rural area wants chickens.
