not sure hard to get a count as they are all freaked out. Was think maybe the other died of fright or got smothered or trampled in the rush.

think it wouldnt hurt to set a trap.

why would a bird come down and kill so many ?   I know they take the whole kill somewhere else to eat it . Is any missing ?

I agree granny, I don't think a bird could kill so many in one strike & hawks usually carry off their pray. Possums like to chew heads off chickens. Not certain how the remaining untouched ones died unless by a heart attack caused from the attack.

they are littles, half grown. possum in the day only if it was starved, rabid, ect..
