#1 son has been taking care of all the critters for me. This morning he texts to say that Henry pulled open the sliding screen door, and he and Ming got out.

He found Henry pretty quick, mostly because that cat is a huge scaredy baby, but Ming was nowhere to be seen. How can it be that I am gone for 24 hrs, and what is probably my all time most favorite pet has gone missing?? Turns out she was sleeping somewhere in the house.

Crisis averted. All is well. Kid has been doing a great job. Now that i know what he is capable of, I am going to give him more things to do!

cats will do that when their person is gone. seemed like when DS was gone to his aunts house his cat would get out every time looking for him and I would have to go pick him up so the cat would come back.

Henry has been a PITA about wanting out, and we have rigged up an intricate system involving a wire mesh lined baby gate. He must have reached over the top of the gate and slid the door open, then jumped out. He's such a goof ball. As long as he remembers where his food bowl is, he will always come back.
