what is a heat sink ? Never heard of it. Is that the same reason you put water bottles in there ? I meant to ask about those long goI have river rocks in there for a heat sink. I think it helps the temps keep steady.

Yes, some people use jars/bottles. I like the rocks. It takes forever to warm up, but then it holds temp well and recovers quickly when I open it. I put the jars in there for humidity, because chicks can't fall in.
