Oh, I hate to hear that - I completely understand why you would do it for them, but have never seen it work out well for folks that do that and, in fact, have had many clients back in my Energy Assistance days who found themselves royally screwed because of trying to do something nice for someone else by doing that. I really hope it doesn't come back to bite you.

My credit is not good and I want to buy a van so I am hoping I can clear it up. I know she wont pay it. They never do. I feel like I have failed her somehow. Im sure I have. I tried to raise responsible kids but obviously it didnt work out. .
You stop that right now. You did not fail her - so often children grow up to be the adults they are IN SPITE OF the efforts of their parents. Just look at all the really nice people who have raised kids that went on to be adults who did horrible, horrible things -- that is the fault of the adult child, not the parent.
That's what keeps me up at night. She's still my mom. And I'll end up having lunch with her tomorrow. Maybe she has a personality disorder, too. I never know who I'm going to meet.

It really sounds like the last week or two have been a trial for you guys -- it is great that he apologized, but I would encourage you to find time for the both of you to sit down, no distractions and no drinks, to really talk about everything and get back on the same page, clear the air, etc.

Tell me about it -- the yard here is completely dead after going the entire summer with no one living here so no one watering and, as you pointed out, no rain......I've just written it off and am not going to worry about trying to bring it back now, we'll get it squared away come spring.

I like them scrambled with cheese but he has them fried well with nothing but bread.
For sandwiches I'm a fried on plain bread person too - but for eating just eggs I love scrambled with a little meat (ham or sausage) and cheese.....though at the moment all we have is store eggs and I refuse to eat them on their own, DH is supposed to be talking to one of his regular customers who he has heard has a large flock and sells eggs so we can get on as a customer until we get up and running with our own birds.
