Forgot to share yesterday - FINALLY got my day at the beach!!!!!
DH, DS and I drove over to the coast, had breakfast at DH's favorite place to go out there (I think it must be mostly sentimental because neither DS nor I were at all impressed with the food/experience

), spent some time walking through a few shops, went to the little aquarium that was an annual stop on our spring break trips out here when I was a kid....best part of that is feeding the seals that they have....funny buggars that know how to flirt for food and, if you are too slow, splash you with impressive accuracy and then we hit the beach!!! Had a lot of fun teaching DS about exploring tide pools.....it took a minute for him to get into it, but once I talked him out of his shoes/socks and into the surf he was all about it, neither he nor I were ready to leave when DH pointed out we needed to head back since I had promised to be home in time for FIL to come for dinner.....think DS and I will go back Saturday while DH is at work....there are some really neat little beaches I want to show DS, less touristy and more adventurey!

Why I love this coast -- the rock formations are just amazing and the rough shores make for some really awesome surf and sounds!

On another note, for my puzzle loving friends, I had a stroke of genius this week..........MIL gave us a set of tables for the living room, one of which is a glass topped coffee table with drawers.......look what I did......



No more Z knocking pieces everywhere with her tail, no more Sheldon laying on/eating the pieces.....just pull the drawer out, work on it all you want and then slide it closed.....and it gives you something to look at through the glass.......

Yes, they went all "e-book" before we left -- but they still call it "book rental fees" on what they charge at the beginning of each year and do include the "technology fees" in the breakdown.

Here are the two hona cocks I'll use for breeding. I need to see them in a "real world" situation before I decide if I'm keeping Ragnar or not. This is Bjorn, Ragnar and Lagertha's offspring. I have two pullets from the other breeder I can put with him. This is Crow, the little turd who was crowing at three weeks. Clever name right? He's from the other breeder, so I can put him with Lagertha and all of her daughters. He took longer to fill out, but I've always liked him.

Received in an email just a few minutes ago I just got a phone call from my vet. We are good to go for Saturday. The bull passed the trick test and the cows and heifer are ear tagged and looking forward to their new home. you all wouldnt believe the convo I just had w/ DD. LL cutting her electric off, needs to store her food somewhere til friday when they move. she will look for someone closer but MIGHT need to bring it here. I said, why would you want to store your food with a stranger ? They will eat it. She says , If I bring it over there CB will it it.. Really ? I said well, It sure as hell wouldnt hurt you to feed your kid but if you rather feed a stranger then go for it.

kinda good news for a change. Just talked my sister. she is stage 3 . she got her port today and will start chemo and radiation monday. The cancer is in her rectum,lymph nodes and bowels but the prognosis is good. After they shrink it they will operate and put a bag on her side but its not going to kill her. It hasnt spread to her other organs.

Oh, happy news!!!!!!! Wow - just, wow!

She called. I broke her computer lol. Can't run my credit, it's giving her errors. Greeeeeaaaat. So hopefully tomorrow she says her it gurus get it figured and fixed.

Oh, star, what can you do but laugh at that point? Reminds me of when I was working at the BMV and taking the pictures for peoples' licenses/IDs and would get the "fatal error" message from the digital imaging system -- had to work really hard at finding a nice way to tell someone they literally broke the camera.......

Average laying I suppose. I was getting pullet eggs but haven't since I locked them up. Lagertha lays a small egg every other day when she's not broody or molting. The pullets were about the same.

Meanwhile my pal at the bank was aghast and she's hoping that suddenly I don't end up with a gazillion inquiries. I said if that happened, I'd unleash the angry Canuck until the inquiries were removed and say nope. This was your fault, if my credit suddenly is bad due to back to back hard inquiries from you...
