One tiny Serama egg today, and that was it! There was a baby rat on the run when I locked up. They are multiplying! So cute, it's hard to think of killing them, but don't know what else to do. snap!

wouldnt be hard for me to kill them. I know you used to have them for a pet

we built a run and have a head catch gate at the end of it. Have used it twice first time for tail hair for DNA tests, ear tags, and pours and then the second time just pours The girls are probably around 750 lbs. It's Porter that worries my. NO way he is going to get his head in the catch gate. I did built a separate standing type stall but still concerns me.

Maybe when you go pick up your new girls, you can ask to see how Craig has his gate set up for bulls. There has to be a way to do it. Can't tranq them every time you need to deal with them. You need to get those babies tamed down so it is a little easier. Dairy cows are way bigger than beef cows, but can be dealt with easily. I think yaks have been bred to be tame and calm and trainable. They've been domesticated for 1000s of years. It's in the genes.
