Are we posting cochin pics now! I took this one yesterday.

This is Mae West, hatched in March sometime. She's a splash with hardly any spots. Nice and big, though. She actually slows down and stops when the kids start chasing her.

Mae West!

She looks like a lap chicken! She's a large fowl, yes? I want a couple of the large ones, but worry about how they handle heat. The bantams I've got have so much leg and foot feathering, you can only see a couple of toes, and that's when you're handling them too.

I'm almost convinced mine is at least part Cochin. Only thing really different on mine is the color and the comb is so tiny.
If you were trying to get a broody, Cochin would fit the bill.

Sorry guys. Gotta go. My grandmother just passed away. Please keep us in your prayers.
I'm so sorry to hear that.

but you said blockages in your legs. PLEASE don't fool, around with that. I almost lost a leg. What did they say the blockages were? Arteries or veins?

Granny, so glad you are getting some action, medical wise.

A screech owl??? The eyes of an owl are big and glassy. Also they do not move within the socket, owl has to move it's whole head instead.
We had several owls that my mom nursed back to life after getting hit by cars. She always gave them raw liver. Beaks and talons are razor sharp, so be careful.

Maybe you need another lamp in your room.
