Since it can't be released, it would go to a little zoo or wildlife place. Sometimes they are euthanized because they think that it's better off dead than not living free. My mom had a deformed western goldfinch for years. It was given to her by a lady manning the willdlife rescue booth at the fair, and mom raised that little naked baby into a beautiful yellow charmer. Mr. Beakerman's feet were not able to grasp well, so he would not have survived out in the wild. He had a good life! Yes, it was against the law, but she figured since the rescue lady gave it to her...
since these are common they woul probably kill it. then. there isnt any zoos or wildlife rescues around here that I am aware of. maybe ol mare will show up.

I wonder if they taste like chicken??

Mice are mammals so they have mammary glands (behave, Twist!) and the babies drink milk. Nothing gross about it. Lots of mammals are born without fur, including us! When I was 9, Dad plowed up a nest of field mice and I raised five pinkies with an eyedropper for milk. They got wild as soon as they grew so I had to let them go. Made me cry to do it!

Oh, and if mice make your timbers shiver, how about bats? Mice with wings! They nurse upside down.
