So glad you guys took him.  He'll have a great life with you.  Don't let him get fat, though.  Nothing sadder to me than a fat lab. That means they're not out doing what they love.

Truth. We don't do lots of treats so that helps. Just a regular portion in the evening. Jewel had stopped scarfing her bowl and would munch on it throughout the day. I'm sure she'll be back to scarfing now.

Just one more thing, I already know how to crochet. My grandmother taught me when I was little.

Yuri is the same way  Vet this spring was worried he was to fat.  Now when you pet him you can feel every rib.  He eats like a horse.   Becareful  of using any dog food that say's high protein, my old vet and a couple techs have told me that all high pro really does is rev up the dogs metabolism.   Eggies are very good  and make for a very shinny coat as well.   Maybe also some oatmeal?

Oatmeal sounds good! We just have plain old feed from TSC. It's the 4health- no wheat, no corn, no soy.

Nope been there and done the whole gambit of emotions  Mom died when I was  28.   I still get down and pissey, very emotional   a couple times a year.  Takes me awhile to  figure out why,  Then realize its my sub-conscious  because it  always happen around her birthday and when she passed.   

If it would make you feel better I am sure we can find some to go down there and "rubber band you"   Hell I even have the tool and some very old ones from when we did the lambs.    No shitty lambs tails at our farm.   Which by the way is exactly what dreadlocks remind me of.  

Omg you're right about dreadlocks. Never crossed my mind. Think I'll Starr clear of the rubber bands.

After arguing with DH for two days about feed prices, I've decided to sell off my flock. Someone is asking after my favorite EEs and I'm really upset. I keep promising myself that if I sell them now, that someday I can buy more. Right?!

The WHOLE flock?? Can't you keep a few? Has your hub's checked the price of eggs? I think a month of feed for a handful of chickens is less than what you'd pay for the eggs they will lay. By the way, what is the new doggy's name?
