I might try to get some from the breeder, maybe marans or cochins, to slip under her.

We got 6 today too - of course that means I had 15 free-loaders

Molting is killing production - maybe it's time to go into the feather duster business instead.

I'm in for a molt next year. I have all pullets. 5 just now reaching POL, 7/10 of age laying. A BFF breeds and shows fuzzy foot dust mops. She sells her fertilized eggs for big $$$. Hummm...maybe? Feather dusters? I'd need to learn a lot more. My Pops has the bators and everything and is itching to hatch some eggs.

My broody is peeping!

I wasn't expecting her to hatch til Tuesday. But I lifted her up and there's a chick unzipping in there!

Oh how egg-citing!! You need to show us pics when the baby is done hatching!!

not sure what that is but bullseye is the white spot with a white ring around it.  Im not seeing the white ring but my eyes arent great either.

Ah my bad I didn't realize there was a white ring around as well! So nope! My eggs remain unfertilized.

Yep - white spot = germinal disc, present on all yolks; bullseye = concentric ring(s) on germinal disc of fertile egg.
