oh Alisan. my very favorite 2 breeds in the world. you lucky, lucky girl. dont ask me about shipped eggs though. from my 9 seramas i have one maybe. I would encourage you to read all you can on shipped eggs. they are a whole new breed . mine were turned wrong and drown themselves when they tried to pip. and i had them upright in the turner right up to lock down. so my one peice of advise would be make some paper cups for lockdown and keep them upright.
Yes they told me to check air sacks b4 I set them and to let them settle at room temp fat side up for 24 he's also b4 setting them!I'm carving 1 1\2 inch foam to cradle small eggs in my turner so maybe they'd work for lockdown too?
Oh wow!! That's just want the parents look like!!I wouldnt swear that the foam would allow enough humidity through. mine were size A too and they fit in the turner but my turner is an older one with rubber tips to hold the eggs. I have heard if you use an egg carton and also cut a small hole in the bottom of each one. so the eggs wont fall out but the moisture can still go through. sounds like a good idea to me. a paper carton should be used. and yes, day 18 is when they are supposed to go into lock-down. my tolbunt roo Spazz, was the one i lost that hurt me so bad. he was awesome bird. he was frizzled too.![]()

put it in water and see it float? it wont absorb the water and thats what you will need to reach the egg. you need it to go through the holder so the egg can absorb and release the water as neededThis foam is really porrous with lg pores??
lol I was in military so I'll figure something outThis foam is really porrous with lg pores??
