Paper can be washed but I figure it absorbs the moisture. I have use paper in the past, but it needs to dry out. I could be wrong. Everyone has their system that works for them. Never change yours just cuz someone else disagrees.wasnt she talking about blocks of hard foam ? that is what i thought any way. lol this is what i seen as well but with a paper carton.
Not good, but fingers crossed.the serama is still alive , its veins are clear. I have freed the head but no attempt on its part to do any more. I also have not seen it open its eyes. it just lays there and throws out a couple cheeps once in a while.
Hate to be the buzz kill, but they don't play possum. If I were you I would find someone with lots of experience that uses or has used stil air bators as I suspect your temps are too low.I just finished the hatch. it is still just as weak so i put it in a rolled up paper towel cup. the umbilical was still attached so i sterilized my scissors got the cold towel ready, the corn starch and my husband on stand by. there was no blood at all. LOL It didnt come too early or too late !! I suspect it is playing possum . it did however have some of the INNER membrane stuck to its side. if that was enough to keep it from hatching I dont know. but as of right now it is hatched, warm and drying. but it is very weak.
I am hoping for the best, but based on my own experience, and the from what I've read, chance of survival is slim, so don't get our hopes up. FYI, I mean that in the nicest way possible.I finished the hatch Kathy, my post is a couple up. it is weak but there is hope.![]()
