I think your DH might be on to something. hahaa  of course IF i had a colored egg i would do the same thing.
You'll get there granny. I have one green layer & one blue layer left. The green layer has not layed in quite a while. It seems every other week I am having to break her of her broodiness. The blue layer is laying about 3 eggs a week at this time. I have found that the EE's don't lay well in the winter. Hopefully your gal will give you a egg soon, but with her molting & shorter day light hours she may not.

I suppose we could but where is the fun and adventure in that.

Actually we put the hay up loose so it will be just a matter of using the grapple on the bobcat and then taking it down to them when needed.
 
Say granny how is the little one with the infection doing?? Grandson that is. OH and how did it work out with your son and his new worker on their day trip???
