I am here Granny! I hate cooking, doing dishes, washing windows (unless they are in the barn), laundry...... Things I love..... mowing grass, putting up fence, gardening, remodeling houses, mucking horse stalls, making hay, fishing, hunting, sewing, crocheting, making jewelery and EATING!

Enola you just stir ff before you feed it and only once a day? Would it be ok to feed them in the evening. That's when I let them out for 2 or 3 hours. Also how much per chicken per day.? Most of mine are bantams. I have 4 hens and a roo.

i am going to research FF and even see what it is and how it goes further.

You will feed less feed because more of the feed is digested. The reason chicken poop smells so bad and has so much ammonia is because of all the protein that is not digested. By fermenting the feed it is basically partially pre-digested when the chicken eats it.
