where is the rice on the plant ?  we have BIG crawdads in our yard. they make mud castles that when they harden tears a lawn mower blade up.

I think it's at the top, like wheat or other grains.

The crawdads blew my mind when we first moved out here, I had never seen the likes - and thought the neighbor was pulling my leg when he told me what built the towers I saw popping up in our field. What was even funnier was when we went back home to the NW to visit. My mom, sister, sister's kids, myself and my two kids all went to a state park for a picnic and hike - came across a little stream and found a couple of crawdads in it.....pointed them out to the kids and my two were SO confused as to why they were in the water

You do granny? Maybe you need to stop mowing & flood it, plant rice & let the crawdads mature, then sell them. I bet chickens would love crawfish. Free chicken feed

You would think, but these buggars are MEAN - they don't back down! If the birds manage to get them flipped, it's great fun for them, but takes a bit of work and I have seen the crawdads pull off a good enough bluff to get them to move along.

I couldnt plant the shrubs and the harder i tried the madder i got. got in the van and headed to the shop. something i learned today and feel like i need to share. SIL said he did offer to come give us a jump. I said, offered who ? and his response was my DD . he told her to tell us. he also knew nothing of the shrubs and offered to do them tomorrow . I told him I was being taken advantage of and I dont like it. I took them what food i had as well.

Sounds like maybe a lot of stuff being lost in relay - maybe this will show him he needs to just communicate directly? At least digging to plant should be easier after today - did you guys get a good soak up that way?

As I'm doing laundry, washing all my dusty office clothes, hoping behind hope that I get a call for an interview...

I put my hat into the ring for an admin job at an investment company round these parts.

Guys, can I please get all the good thoughts and hopes and vibes and prayers if you swing that way? Let's face it, I am seriously under-employed as a retail monkey, and it would be beyond fabulous to have full time hours and pay.....I'm getting so stressed out with the finances due to my hubs being stupid with his projects....and I feel like our marriage is just...not in a happy place with that...

Sorry things are getting to that place on the homefront - is it something the two of you can talk through together? Are you people of faith who could turn to someone in that venue for some counsel?
