Granny, I've eaten so much ham and turkey, I'm either going to turn into a pig or turkey. I took the ham bone and making home made soup today. Be good for a change.

Merry Christmas to all. House almost back to normal, kitchen cleaned, escaped puppy returned to mom, mom given her pill. Leftovers for me today. Or as I like to call them reruns. In response to your question there granny I don't keep liver females. Two reasons 1) I prefer black and white 2) easier to find liver and white males with the bloodlike I like. 3) from my experiences the livers are so much more vocal. Not sure but think I have a pup with and umbilical hernia hoping not. My male has one but thought it was just birth trama (so his breeder claimed) and he hasn't passed it on to any of the other pups he has sired. vIt can also be a birth defect and hereditary in which case you don't want to use them for breeding. My fault for not cutting the cord and letting mama do the work. Live and learn. An umbilical hernia in case you are wondering the best that I understand it is a small tear in the stomach muscle lining where the intestines can peep or bulge through. Simple surgery repair but pricey. Or if not to bad you can leave it and they seem to do just fine, although I keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any bigger. Will probably get it repaired when I retire him from stud work and have him "snipped" at the same time. When you are done using your male for stud you should have them snipped anyway to help prevent testicular cancer. Granny's chirstmas line/wish is one I can't improve on LOVE IT. LOL forgot to mention I got my freezer back amazing how much room 8 ice cream buckets of cookies take up. Not to mention the fudge and caramels. Pups are gaining over an ounce a day. I finally got over 5 hours of sleep for the first time in weeks. LOL Holiday stress and expectant daddy stress be gone.

Got home from midnight mass and here Lu greets me at the door all twitter-piatted one of the pups had gone a crawl or wiggle-about and was sleeping in the place where the puppies water dish goes. crawled over 2- 2x2's screwed together separating the "bedroom area" from the play or living room area in the puppy box traveled about 4 feet and then over another 2x2 and was sleeping in the framed area where the water dish goes. This bunch sure seems more advanced than any of the other ones I have had.

Opened my check book and there sits the check for my discover payment of course the statement I mailed 2 days ago but no check in that envelop.

twisted, I have had family around me all my life til now. and everyone thinks there turkey is better then the next person. One yr. I was stuck so i ordered a dinner from krogers and i had 23 people over. the turkey was raw, it had not been cleaned out, had eggs in it and i got my money back the next day but someone went home and brought their small ham over and that is what we had. LOL Did i forget to mention my stove broke too? I think i did it backwards but at least it was done. I put it under the broiler and browned it then covered it and cooked it slow.

now wait a min. !! I only did that last month. and it was a check for the phone and tv. both things i could do without.

Think i know how i am hurting my foot. went to clean out the brooders in the pole barn and now it is hurting bad. it is a gravel floor. bet i am standing on it sideways. . I cant take a pill they keep me awake. its really hurting too . guess im done for the night.
