It's true.  There's still one up in Humboldt county somewhere.  Those are from the anciest old growth trees, couple thousand years old. Over 95% of the old growth is gone now, logged from northern California up through Oregon and Washington.  Sad.  Trying to save what little is left.   My sister and I got to see some of the parks on out road trip this summer.  I'll try to find some pictures.
wow that is fascinating. I hope you can find the pics sometimes.

Off topic, but I found this on FB

Good stuff! TY!

It wouldn't be a dent. We're in for historical rainfall and flooding this winter. If it all runs off into the ocean, not so good. If we get a nice deep snow pack in the Sierra's that is what we pray for.
Well I'll be praying along with y'all for the snowfall. It is a beautiful place in the pics.

Good night to all. Busy day for me tomorrow. I wish you all restful sleep, rain if you need it, sun if you don't and a joyous tomorrow! Look around in the morning. Look at the sky and the trees. Find beauty.
Here's a Monarch butterfly that visited me today.
Sleep well and good dreams!

hoping for a little rain here.

Clouds came it's and it's windy, but that's no guarantee here. It's chilly! Had to crank up my boyfriend Flaming Eddie to keep me warm!

If you boyfriend's name is Flaming eddie I think he is "batting for the other team" Kind of looks like that psyco robot on futuramma.
