It's so frustrating. DH put the collar on him last night in the house "just to see" if it altered his behavior. Then he was saying "look how good he's being. He's such a different dog with this thing on. He's listening so much better." And I said "you think it's the collar an not the month of hard work I've put into training him?"
I was a little.
When he said the stuff about retrieving ducks I asked if he was going to actually hunt with Ben? "Maybe." Ok, then you train Ben and I'll go back to Jewel. "Jewel's my dog." Fine! Then I'll train Ben and dammed if I care whether he retrieves ducks or not.
I've been without my meds a few days, so the rage is running close to the surface. Plus DH and my mom are not getting along, and I'm just stuck in the middle. They're both too passive aggressive to do anything but talk crap about the other to me. I defend my DH, because my mom is nutso.
Oh boy... I can'tYou worked HARD! IF he just put the collar on to let Ben wear it and see if he knew what it is, I'm ok. Bad thing is, if Ben did act differently with it on, he's e-collar wise. IF DH touched one button to see what happens, I'm out. Doesn't sound like he did.
My mother is the consummate master. My family are experts! Get unstuck? To save my sanity, I stood up. "I cannot and will not listen to this. I love you both. If you have an issue with XXX, I suggest you address it with them. I refuse to be involved". Magic!
I think I've had two others to try it but they decided it was too much work and stopped after a day or two.keeping my fingers crossed. She seems to be more determined than the others. This was day three for her. Does it take 21 days for a hen to hatch them give or take a day or two? That's great news Red, its so fun having a broody momma raise babies. This summer was the first time I had a hen to do it. Have always incubated before.
Aww that's not good, poor pearlWhat kinda meds works for your migraines twist? Pearl get them a lot.took a horse pill as migraine is trying to return. Back in about 1/2 hour if it kicks in. TTFN
That's great camping. Sounds like mutts leave it link I'd working great for you too.I think Ben behaved the same. He's such a good boy. He's been out in the living room this evening, working on a bone. DH came in with a pbj and Ben got all wound up. Just being a nosey pest. I gave a good sharp "leave it!" and Ben came right to me. He didn't stay longbut I managed to get him back to me again and that time he stayed.
everyone MIA today ? I havent needed to talk to myself in a long time but i still remember how. I am proud of myself for all I got done today. Just hope I dont pay tomorrow. haha It was such a beautiful day. Most of the trees are bare now and humongous leaves crunch under my feet. I sat outside to catch my breath and it sounds like rain when the wind blows from falling leaves. It was in the 70s and so nice.
I managed to find a yard sale on my way home today and forgot I had ice cream. brand new crock pot for $10. , wall hanging cupboard for bathroom $5., 2 wind spinners and a sock for the porch new, $1.50, and some stuffed animals for the dogs. They were having a ball with them til the frog croaked and the angel started reciting ,"Now I lay me down to sleep" in a young childs voice. I took that one away from them because I didnt want them to associate a childs voice with chewing and they walk a circle around the croaking frog but they still have 2 more they are playing with. I love it when they throw it in the air.
Camping they both look great! Ben looks so happy and healthy now.![]()
My good pups.
