so this is a piece of plastic from the chicken carton? Leave it to you to get injured from a not cooking accident? Can you use your teeth to pull it out?? I get the precooked grocery chickens a lot. 2 meals from a $5. pre cooked chicken.
yup. right off the plastic. it was cooking !! I put it in the micro to heat it up. LOL I dont know if my teeth will work or not. I will go get them and see.

Yup. Cold again tonight and I've got a mostly bald hen, poor thing. Got the fire going again tonight so I'm almost as happy as the cat.

Poor hen! Maybe you should bring her in the house? Kidding. Your fireplace and kittie are beautiful. I like the house to be really chilly at night. The colder the better within reason. Might kick on the fireplace for an hour or 2. Did you get more rain?

Way back when (early 70s) there was some sort of protest march or love walk or something. Bunches of unwashed hippies walking down the middle of our narrow, winding rural road. I was 7 or 8 and Grandpa was driving us kids to have a sleepover with him and Grandma. G'pa was a former sheriffs deputy from Los Angeles county, and he didn't like all these "deadbeats" blocking the road and drinking in public. I was a little nervous because there were 100s of them. Anyway, Grandpa was was trying to get around some of them and they wouldn't move over so he got a little too close, just a light brush with the car, and caught the strap of somebody's man-purse on the side mirror. Ripped the purse/bag thing to shreds and the guy's stuff (paraphernalia) fell out all over the road. As Grandpa gunned it and raced off swearing under his breath, the peaceniks threw several bottles at the car! Luckily people under the influence have very poor aim!

See, something I never forgot! A memorable memory with my usually law abiding Grandpa!

Don't recall him telling the whole story to Grandma or my mom, though.

I wasn't going to rat him out!

I will have to ask my brother if he remember what the march was all about.
