I took Ben out without the e-collar this morning. The birds were all penned. With no birds around he romped with Jewel and peed on all the things. As soon as I opened the coop door and the birds left me, he came and heeled by himself. He didn't leave my side unless they were FAR away. And no corrections. When we came in he went straight to the door, but I waited to watch the chickens. I faced the door, chickens behind me, and watched him. The birds trotted away and Ben just watched me the whole time. He didn't even put his ears up.


I tried to put him in the backyard without me a few days ago, to rest how he would do without me watching. But he wouldn't even go through the door unless I went all the way out and then called him. Because chickens are scary.

Well hubby is off to deer camp, the young silkies are headed to there new home. Got chores done this morning in the snow/rain/sleet mess, now I'm chilled to the bone. I think I will grab a cup of tea & try for a nap. Dd had to pull a late night at work last night so a few minutes before midnight my cell phone rang. Scared the living daylights out of me. I was the ride home call. She is like her dad, they both have problems with falling asleep at the wheel and she has a 45 minute drive one way. Glad I was awake & could get her home. But pooped out today, up too late & had to get up too early. I haven't taken a nap in a long time, let's hope I'm successful. Bbl

The nasty reviews take with a grain of salt as some were during the oil boom and all of the chairs have been replaced. Were actually on order during the time that Witch stayed here. How was I supposed to know it would take 5 months to get them.

I have tried to turn my yard into a park-like setting . I wont be able to finish it now but I was able to get the trees and benches in . maybe someday when they are grown someone will look and see what I started and want to finish it. underplanting shade loving hostas edging a mulch or gravel trail leading from bench to bench . passing the fire pit, grape arbor, pond , ect....
