Mare you ran off after asking a serious question. Who is having problems with cysts growing on their kidneys?
Sorry - asked and then got pulled in about six different directions. My sister was just diagnosed a little over a week ago........

You make your own, pretty talented ~ Jack of all trades
have you ever made jerky or summer sausage from deer ?
Usually do deer sausage the county style type and put it in the smoker for a bit and then the steaks from the backstrap. Sausage it 50 to 60 percent ground pork and then 40 to 50 percent deer and a little ground beef to bring the number up if needed. Put in natural casings. aka pig intestines

Very sorry to hear that Mare. Do you know that it is hereditary?Mare you ran off after asking a serious question. Who is having problems with cysts growing on their kidneys?

LOL - like the cobbler's children who had no shoes? I hear you - for us it is the lawn. DH's "real" job is at the Veteran's Cemetery which means he does a LOT of mowing, trimming, mulching, etc --- it looks BEAUTIFUL........our yard, not so much. I end up doing the mowing and trimming quite a bit (which makes himat me?!?!?!?!). I get it, he does it all week and the last thing he wants to do on the weekend is more of the same, but then dont b**** at me when I do it to keep us from being *that* house in the neighborhood. This would also be why we no longer have a pond, but do have a lovely "cattail field" where it used to be...........my theory on that is wait until it is good and snowy this winter and light the d*** things on fire to get rid of all the existing ones gone and then *I* will just be responsible for keeping control of them this spring when new ones start to come through. I bought all the sprays and whatnot he needed two years ago----they are unopened
(don't get me wrong, I love the man and he IS handy but this particular issue is one of *those* issues that has become a boiling point)
We have a small operation, know them well do ours.

That's something I have been thinking about a LOT since she got the news. Her's came seemingly out of nowhere and was diagnosed after she was hospitalized. I made mention of having a "spare kidney" if she needed it after she first told me and she mentioned that would depend on whether I have it as well.....so now I am battling with the question of whether or not I want to know (would have to find out if she did end up needing a kidney since that is the first thing they do with siblings wanting to donate to verify that the sibling is not also effected).
