so, my heated waterer i have been fussing about , my friend came and got it and is going to open it up and see if its repairable. if not, I have a 50 dollar 3 gal. water bucket. LOL I gave up and bought the 6 dollar light socket and one dollar for a cookie tin and my son and myself made one today. He seemed to truly enjoy making it. (Light bulb going off ) so I asked him if he would like to make them and sell them. get him off the games and out of his room. he seemed as if he liked the idea. I made a comment that he could probably sell them for 15 dollars and he said ok. I walk away and heard him say to who ever is on the other end of his play station, " well, apparently, I am going to make water heaters and rip people off".

1 1/2 in. deep litter and them scratching in it and i dont see or smell it. gross

So sorry you found your bird in that way - but at least you now know what became of it.

My kid's birthday party is today (Sunday). Hopefully that will keep me occupied and away from the incubator.

well, it is funny the way it came out. LOL I dont want to teach him wrong. it was a price that came out of my mouth . I should of told him to set the price after he had made a couple by himself. he will have to go on a treasure hunt to find the tins. I was able to find 2 of them after an hr. of searching and 2 stores. I dont think i have too much to worry about with that boy doing wrong.

I remember leaning over that thing for so long once and wasnt aware of the time passed that my back froze stiff and i had my husband help me. hahahaa I solved that problem, I put it on a higher counter. candled last night. 1 serama dead day 14 as always. the last one didnt show much movement but was alive. probably on its way out as well. its ok, its not bothering me like before. the only bad part is disappointing the person that sent them to me. ALL the polish mix eggs are well, and very active. tons of veining ect... I will be glad to get the incubator put away and chalk this one up to plain bad luck. I always open my eggs to look for problems and this time i did see something different . I dont know if it means any thing or not but there was an air bubble on the yolk. about the size of a pea i guess.

guess i will be making an eye drs appt. soon. to give me a little credit it was about the same color as the pine shavings. It was small so it had to of passed a while back. And i sat in there a lot just watching them play. LOL was sitting right next to it. Dont seem as if i am doing too much right lately. I am heart broke over the serama. she offered me another and i told her no. I am done with trying to have something that is not hardy, worrying me to death, more then i can afford. just done. so if the others dont die i will put them with my other roo and he will have 3 hens . I still have 2 eggs on day 14 but i am not going down that road. what will be will be.

I need to make a retraction here, when i said not hardy I should of said not hardy for me. there are great breeders out there that have no problems with these beautiful little birds at all. and tons, probably millions of people i am sure that own them and never lose one. all they need is a little supplemental heat in the winter. the first pair i got from my breeder i have had no problems with their health.I am not able to hatch the eggs and it could possibly be because they are young birds. the others i got from a very nice lady giving to me but there was an illness in her flock. that dont mean anything. my rooster could of passed for any # of reasons. These are beautiful awesome little pets or if your into showing they are very friendly just all around great birds and i dont mean to discourage any one from keeping them.
