I agree with you Mare, hubby said he would remarry because he couldn't stand to be alone. See how well I rate

Men are horrible at being alone - they either have to re-marry or tend to die fairly soon after their mate has gone.

Now a days they get remarried more often than before.

I kid you not -- DD's dad was the worst offender. There was one evening I was staying at his place and half way through the night was awakened by a naked woman crawling into his bed ......not sure which one of us was more surprised. (sadly, this was BEFORE sweet DD was conceived so, yes, I was an idiot in love that let him talk his way out of it/back into my heart.........)

I realize that doesn't paint him in a very good light - he is/was a good man and has, for the most part, been a decent dad to DD -- he just never stood a chance of ever being a good, committed partner for ANY woman. To this day he is incapable of allowing a relationship to work out and be good.......nature of his upbringing/the example he had growing up - both his brothers are the same way. It only took me five years or so of on-again/off-again to figure that out and finally walk away for good.

Yep - that is why I always make a point to use the word "surprise" vs. "mistake" because she is anything BUT a mistake, and very much a pleasant surprise for which I am grateful each and every day.

This is because men on there own have to much fun. Now I'm not talking about sleeping around. I'm talking about eating what the want with no concerns of if it's healthy or not. And we tend to do stupid things around or with our friends.

I've always called my granddaughters birth a blessing. She was never a mistake even though my dd was only 16 when she had her.

was she a good mom or did it fall to you ? I often wonder about a girl that was pregnant the same time as me . went to the same dr. she was 11.
