my BP was 171/106
Granny that's terrible.
pain I think.
I think I'm going to call it a early night. Working out in the cold the last couple of days has pooped me out. And tomorrow I have to brave the crowds & do a little Christmas shopping. I absolutely hate shopping unless it thrifts store or garage sales. On Hubby's side of the family we celebrate Thanksgiving & Christmas at one get together. The family is just too large & too spread out to do both, but that leaves me with shopping this week. I hope I don't kill someone tomorrow.
I hope you sleep well Lisa, have fun !
Pain can raise it, but that's definitely high. My dd actually went to a walk-in clinic for a sinus infection this morning. They took her blood pressure, then told her to lay down. They took it 5 more times over a period of time. Her best reading was 158/102. They told her to follow up with her family doctor Monday. I told her she better, but she is planning on waiting until after Thanksgiving.
Doesn't she have a headache with it that high?
Sweet dreams y'all. I'm going too.
Did they explain why you need it all? You probably already know, but you have to break the inflammatory cycle. You pinch a nerve, which hurts, causing swelling which presses on the nerve making it hurt worse. Then the muscles spasm from the pain, causing more swelling, more pain, more spasms, and on and on. You have to break the cycle to have any chance of it healing.
The swelling prevents good blood flow to the area, which is necessary for healing.
Try to do the best you can with what they told you to take. And be patient. It will take time. Don't fall in the trap of feeling a little better so you go back to normal activity. You will reinjure it very easily. Take it slow. We are all going to nag you!!!
Sweet dreams, Red and chicken!
