Good morning all.     Hope every one's tests go well!!!

Happy Birthday Newfie  :celebrate

Cool birds Camping   Have you managed to sex the guinea's yet???

Here's an oldie but a goodie.....other then the line If her daddies rich take her out of a meal   If her daddies poor then do what you feel.

1 cock and 3 hens is the best guess of the community. Might be 2 cocks. They're still making baby noises.

God morning everyone! It's raining here!

Gentle shower, but we're hoping for at least a half inch.

Best wishes for those feeling poorly to get better and for those visiting the doctor to get good results.

Just out of curiosity, why did you get them? I love the polka dot feathers and dinosaur heads. Yours seem much friendlier than what most people describe.

Wow. Nice looking birds.

Thanks! My guineas are still babies, just four months old. They're pretty interesting birds.

They were a gift! We have "Christmas in July" with the staff every year. We put up the tree, watch Elf, cook Christmas food, and exchange gifts. The guinea keets were my gift! I've always liked them and wanted to see if they could help with mosquitoes, ticks, and snakes.

They were really super wild when they were in the brooder and the tractor. I think being adopted by the sussex hen is what has helped the most. I'm too scared to handle them, but I like having them underfoot.

what a busy weekend ya'll had.

congrats on a successful fund raiser camping.

granny, fix yourself, so you're around for awhile to tempt us roos, with the new see thru mu-mu.

I had a semi productive weekend around the house.

got the new clothes line poles set and wired.  I love me some fresh off the line clothes.

decided to put off butchering the whethers, because of my miscalculated days after worming.......
but did get a new coop started for the new pullets, and finished a new hutch for a couple of new breeder rabbits.

I had great aspirations for getting so much done this past weekend, I just have no idea how the time got away from me.
Ah rabbits! We too processed 5 rabbits and made 2 cages for the hutches. This was my first experience from slaughter to freezer, & I do not like it. Way too much work. Getting that doggone hair off those things is awful! I don't mean skinning them but that final cleaning before they get vacuum sealed & go in the freezer. We had a total of 23 rabbits. I've decided to cut way way back to about 2 does and 2 bucks. So we've a whole lot more icky processing to do:( Plus I made a big goof and thought I put 2 does in one cage. We're due more kits very soon from my dumb mistake. I much prefer raising the birds:)
