If I could reach right thru this thing and hug you I would. Know that we all care very much about you and hope you are going to be ok. You know where we are if you need us. I am sorry about your hubby too. I hope he can pull thru.

Take care of yourself thru this difficult time Granny and don't be afraid to reach out to any of us it you need too.

Times 2 with warm fuzzies to boot

Granny congrats on the legbars from everything that I have read about them they are sexable (by coloring) at birth and the created ones are supposed to be the orginal legbars breed by that English man. Still just the one chick that died on my here the rest (43) are tearing around like tazmainian devils. everyone still have all of their toes so thinking that the australorp that died was the cannibal probably tried to eat something else she shouldn't have which still leaves that question wide open. Went to an auction on Sat bought a school bus for a friend (but mine until he pays me) and a 7 by 14 ft horse trailer. Now all I need is to get the pasture re-fenced and I can get yaks. Told my buddy he had better get the money to me soon or I am gonna have a mobile chicken coop. 53 passenger he plans on turning it into a camper. Sincerely hope your hubby is doing better.

Glad to hear your husband is feeling a bit better. Does he have a history of A-fib? Pdz is some good stuff. I use it in the chickens poop box.
thanks, as far as i know he had a-fib once before but by listening to the dr. symptoms he must of been in it for a while now. not being able to walk to the mail box,ect.... think the pzd will work into the gravel for a permanent fix when all the babies are gone?

Well I happen to like the looks, to be different, They are easy care and fit with only about 35 acres of pasture, Supposed to be some of the healthiest meat around and taste like beef. They also will eat noxious weeds like Canadian thistle, wormwood, and brush. Cost about he same orginal purchase price as cattle and will live a productive (baby making) life of 20 to 30 years. They are also about 2/3 's the size of cattle. Beside they fit with the twisted acres theme aka NOT NORMAL. unique special. When fattening one up for slaughter they don't need grain with I don't have but just alpha hay. Many purposes/uses for expanded types of market for the excess ones.

two crows, they are beautiful and the cage is sooo clean !! how do you manage that? lol twisted, i like buffalo meat, wonder if its like that? never seen one and was thinking they would be much bigger then a cow. cool

Granny, I am, unfortunately, I a clean freak. LOL And I say unfortunately, because I can't stop cleaning. Everything!!

I drive myself crazy sometimes. LOL Pretty soon they will be way too big for this brooder and it won't stay so clean! I am waiting for the night time temps to at least stay above freezing and maybe I can find a place to brood them outside in one of the buildings that has stable temps over night. Get them into a larger area too. They are going wild already!

I need to find someone to take my extra chicks! I have about 30 chick's and 15 on their way. Ducks due to hatch this weekend or beginning of next week. Anconas, I'm excited. If they don't work out, I'm gonna try muscovies. I gotta get something that will eat flies! I've had problems with flies EVERY summer here in OK, since before we had rabbits and chickens!
