he was at kdhhs i dont know a lot about the kidneys but i do know he has gotten 3 gallon off so far. i normally dont go to that hospital but my mom was being put to rest at grandview and it was about all i could do.

Oh, I wasn't faulting you on that at all - hope it didn't come across that way. I am so glad that the fluid is coming off and he is home under your good care.

no,? it didnt come across as anything. i just detest that place. its reputation must of preceded me. lol i really like talking to you ol mare.

Um...did they find a reason WHY he's having kidney failure? His symptoms sound like a parasitic infection I saw on "Monsters Inside of Me" on animal planet. Many parasites cause kidney damage/failure.

Did he go to Vietnam?
his kidneys failed because he was in a-fib. his heart wasnt letting the oxygen get to the organs. same thing happened to my mom, sorta, her liver failed(non-alcoholic) and it caused multiple organ failure, including her kidneys

very busy day today. pretty gross too. went to see if any more new babies had fell from the nest or hatched and what i found was very upsetting. GRAPHIC one hen had left the nest and left a baby hatched to freeze. i did catch it in time. i thought it was dead but i put it in the brooder and it came back. the mama then took to a different nest and proceeded to eat the hatching eggs. she killed 2 more. i found one of my buff orphs on its side not able to move. i put it down. checked one more nest and they were eating the eggs so i had enough. i gathered all the eggs, 92 of them, candled them all and put 9 eggs that look ready to hatch in my bator and destroyed the rest. some were a week to two weeks along. and one green one. this is the first time i have ever done that. i havent been able to do any thing with them except feed and water for over a month. the babies in the barn are sick too. droopy, eyes closed. my free ranging chickens ate the ones i destroyed. on a good note, i didnt get in a fight with the new nurse today.

guess yesterday was enough for them. How the heck was everybody elses day ?
