grrr... think the would do the same with a different rooster? they are only 4 months. Incubator is holding its temp. so far. grandson lied to me about feeding and watering the chickens.

they were starved for water an hr. after he said he he did it. no food. one chick looked bad. I caught them in time to save them but it may affect them later. grandson cried for a while only because he got caught but when i was done talking to him he realized (i hope) how they felt being thirsty .

Well spent the day shoveling, snowblowing, roof raking snow off the roof edges & shoveling out the sewer exhaust pipes on the roof. Completely exhausted and hurt everywhere. Sad thing is once I was on the roof I realized we're going to need to shovel that off soon. I was hoping & praying that we could get thru this winter without needing to do that. Did I mention "I Hate Winter" lol....

aww that's too bad, bet he felt horrible after you caught him in the lie. He will probably not want to disappoint you again or take the chance that his actions could cause death to the birds. Does he have warm clothes for doing outdoor chores? I know you said most of the kids didn't have warm stuff to wear outside. Is it possible he's rushing with the chores because he's getting too cold. He probably misses doing chores with Nana too.

Ya I hate lying as well, I'm sure you handled it good and that he isn't going to be doing it again. I wish I could win the lottery and have lots of money to help your daughter, SIL and the kids. Especially the kids, they never get a choice in life.

How old is he? Both my guys tried to see if they could get away with lying at some point. We had the big talk about how important it is for us parents to believe them. If we can't believe and trust them, then who will? They know we will always be more disappointed over the lie than the thing they were trying to cover up. I made a really big deal about this. They were young. Scared 'em good.

I asked him today when he grows up what he wants to be. without hesitation he said a pastor. then a job on the side in construction so he can help the homeless. that is all he has been most his life. he is also the one that had his kidney removed from the cancer. chemo and radiation as well. man, I feel really bad now thinking he might of been cold. It wont happen again you can bet on it. Thank you Lisa
