granny looks like the roo did a number on your arm. Pretty tree
Hi all, back from my dinner with hubby & friends. Very yummy meal, stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey now. Jane~ Happy Anniversary, sorry hubs is out of town. Can't remember, but I think you said 38 years, that's great! My hubby & I have been married 31 years. Just don't see too much of that anymore. Camping ~ First off, so sorry about your roo, darn predators. Try not to beat up yourself, it wasn't your fault. You could have gotten up and looked when you heard a noise, but probably wouldn't have changed the outcome

Your runner is beautiful, have always wanted to know how to sew well. Sending you safe vibes for traveling tomorrow. Newfie ~ So happy that your goodies came today. Hope you will enjoy them! Lindalouly ~ You did a fabulous job on your chicken & nest. Best of luck in the contest. Really sorry about your troubles last night & you not feeling well this morning. Hope your feeling better tonight. Red ~ Thank for checking in on our granny. Hopefully you won't be too sore & that the rain has stopped so you can get out hunting tomorrow. Granny ~ Remember to have nephew look at your camera & see if he can show you how to use it tonight. Papa ~ Glad to read that your toe is doing better with the soaking. Explain beans & tators please? Hi Danna, Mutt, Wishing, Twist, Bert & anyone else I've missed, brain has used up all it oxygen, can't remember anything else lol.
Lisa thank you so much for the card. We really enjoyed it. We have to find a place for all the cards now lol. Sure wish we had a mantle.
Your welcome Red, I tape mine up on the door leading out to the sunroom. Don't have room on the fireplace mantel. That's got candles & roosters on it lol.

YES to mat and pizza cutter! I need to replace my blade, and honestly I think I need a new Matt. Mine is pretty chewed up.

It was high noon on a sunshiny day. I can post crime scene pics if you want. I think anything bigger would've made off with the carcass. He went over halfway around the house before being killed. Literally, his feathers are on the south, west, and north sides. All of his tail sickles are just in front of the azaleas, so I think he was running for cover and almost made it.

I know when it was because I saw him this morning, and I let the dogs out at 11. I let them back in because they were barking and bolted in the direction of the azaleas, but came back when I called.

That's a mystery. I just don't think cat. Cat wouldn't rip the head off and wouldn't chase all over the hard. . Stray dog?

I feel like a dog would've hauled it off, or shredded it. I need to find granny's link about predators again. I think my pups startled the killer before it could get really into the meal. The roo's back was skinned, but meat was intact.

I have a big tom cat that roams around the house and yard, but he was inside when it happened. The chickens don't even bat their eyes at him, so maybe they weren't paying attention? I've seen a big gray cat on my back porch eyeballing chickens once or twice.

since I last checked in I made a double batch of chocolate and peppermint almond bark, ran to 2 stores, and finished 30 Christmas Cards. Granny also knew you were a "pistol" the glint iin your eye's is just visible proof.

Cat have everyone's tongue? Twist, saw you rose early for repairs. 15 deg? Seriously? Gosh. Just don't want to do that anymore.
Since ya'll are quiet, i'll tell a story. Story of bravery, survival and freezing my tush! Carry on, I'll post when I'm done. Ya'll might be face down by the time I finish.
