I feel like a dog would've hauled it off, or shredded it. I need to find granny's link about predators again. I think my pups startled the killer before it could get really into the meal. The roo's back was skinned, but meat was intact.

I have a big tom cat that roams around the house and yard, but he was inside when it happened. The chickens don't even bat their eyes at him, so maybe they weren't paying attention? I've seen a big gray cat on my back porch eyeballing chickens once or twice.
I have several feral cats. They kill birds and rabbit babies, never a chicken. Here's a link that may help? http://www.extension.org/pages/7120...mall-and-backyard-poultry-flocks#.VhFtxvlViko
